There are a lot of summertime fads that I jumped on this year: tie-dye, oversized sleeves, and sturdy platform boots, among others. Biker shorts were part of that checklist. After repeatedly seeing everybody wear biker shorts, I jumped on that bandwagon. Today I’m sharing 15 biker short trends.
To be clear, I used to wear biker shorts to exercise. They were never part of an outfit. They’re functional for my work-from-home lifestyle; however, they’re so easy to transform right into lots of cool, easy outfits, like these several ones I have to show you.
This casual look is best for anyone wishing to jump on the bandwagon. T-shirts with sneakers or, better yet, chunky sneakers are constantly fashion-girl faves.
I love seeing so many different tones like red (which is the ultimate cure for sadness) this season and love that they are perfect for spring and summer. Add a jacket, fanny pack, and sock boots, and you got yourself a little more of a street style. Perfect for going shopping and not having to hold a bag while you rummage through racks of clothes.
One of my favorite looks. I love wearing biker shorts under jean shorts. Add flannel and some boots, and you’re ready to go for a hike. If it gets too warm, take the flannel off and wrap it around your waist.
Camo biker shorts with a denim button-up and a white tank underneath. This is the best example of how to style a print like these biker shorts, which you can find everywhere now. So many brands have come out with great patterns; you have a million to choose from.
Street Style Looks
Black biker shorts are the easiest to style with any look. Pairing them with a cut-off button-up and jean jacket or long sweater works every time. Add some sock boots and a cute bag, and you have an easy and fun look.
Pairing any boot or heels may feel relaxed, but this specific outfit makes this biker-shorts outfit not feel like you’re going out to exercise.
As I said before, biker shorts are a trend I instantly incorporated right into my summer outfits, so I can’t wait to recreate this. Adding a sheer button-down and a chunky necklace is excellent for making this feel like an outfit instead of workout gear if I can use this outfit out instead of at home.
Again, under some shorts with a cropped hoodie, make it stylish and effortless. I like that putting denim shorts right on top of the biker shorts makes the outfit equally charming and not expected. The biker shorts truly feel fresh right here.
With A SweatShirt
A cute sweatshirt paired over a button-up shirt, a fanny pack, and these wedge sneakers give it a preppy but cute look.
Button-ups make any outfit more polished without trying too hard. Moreover, they never go out of style so you can recreate this polished yet casual look repeatedly.
Now it doesn’t rain much in Gilbert, but I love a windbreaker, and it’s a perfect outfit if you’re taking a trip to Sedona. Add a tank underneath. If it gets too warm, wrap the windbreaker around your waist.
Now, this look, I love. Add a denim or a bomber jacket with a flannel or tank and tennis shoes. If red is too bold of a color, opt for black.
With A Jacket
A bomber sports jacket is the closet staple and has insanely chic styling. I can’t wait to attempt this set– it’s so great, however, so essential.
This look is perfect for this time of year. It’s still too hot for jeans, flannels, and boots here, so I kept the flannel and switched out the jeans for biker shorts and tennis shoes. This outfit gives me my fall fix. Adding a flannel over the biker shorts adds a 90s vibe.
With A Cardigan
Now, my lounge looks are my go-to these days. Add an oversized cardigan, a tank, or a muscle tee underneath with some biker shorts, and tell me you’re not comfy. You can’t.
There you have it! 15 short biker trends. The beauty of living in Arizona, you can wear shorts all year round. Now that biker shorts are back, I’ll be keeping them on rotation for quite some time. 😉
