Today I’m sharing 3 desserts you can be proud of. These are classic and straightforward desserts you and your family will love and are perfect for Memorial Day, 4th of July, or any summer BBQs. These desserts have great flavors and are great treats to incorporate into any party. Let’s get baking!
Banana Cream Pie

Ingredients:
One graham cracker pie crust or make your crust (recipe below)
1 (3 ounces) instant banana or vanilla pudding
Eight oz. whipped cream
Eight oz. cream cheese
3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Two large bananas (need to be yellow and firm)
1/4 cup melted chocolate chips
Sprinkles (optional)
Graham Cracker Crust

Place about 1 1/2 cups of crushed graham cracker crumbs into a bowl (place graham crackers into a ziplock bag and crush them with a pin roller, it makes for easy cleanup). Add 1/4 cup sugar and mix. Next, add 2/3 stick of melted butter and one teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix well. Spoon into a standard pie plate.
Tip: Make sure not to use too much butter; otherwise, the crust becomes very hard, especially after sitting in the fridge. Let it sit in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
Pie Filling

Make pudding according to instructions. Use banana pudding or make a mixture of the vanilla and banana pudding and mix, which makes it that much tastier! Place in the fridge while you make the remainder of the dish.
Blend the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract, and set aside. Then beat whipped cream to form stiff peaks and fold into the cream cheese mix.
Take pudding mixture from the fridge and add to graham cracker crust—place bananas on top. Spoon cream cheese mixture over the top.
Melt chocolate chips with a bit of heavy cream to thin out. Dip the whisk into the chocolate mixture and gently stroke the top of the pie with chocolate. You can also add sprinkles or shaved chocolate to add some flare. Voila! You did it! Banana Cream Pie
Flag Cake

Ingredients:
3/4 cups butter
1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
Three eggs
1 tsp vanilla remove
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cups cocoa
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/3 cup water
Vanilla Buttercream Frosting (listed below)
1-quart tiny evenly-sized strawberries 1/2 pint blueberries
Preheat stove to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 13×9-inch baking pan
In a large dish, incorporate butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; beat on high speed for about 3 minutes.
Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; add alternately with water to the butter mixture. Mix until combined (do not overmix).
Pour into the ready baking pan.
Cook for around 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let it cool for about 15 mins. Then, cool completely on the cake rack. You can take a piece of cardboard and cover it with aluminum foil, then place the cake on cardboard, or you can always leave it in the pan you baked it in.
Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients:
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 tbsp milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
In a big dish, incorporate confectioners’ sugar as well as butter. Include milk as well as a vanilla extract; beat to spreading consistency.
Frost the cake with the vanilla buttercream frosting. Make sure the cake has cooled completely before frosting.
Topping

Set up blueberries on the top left edge of the cake, covering 1/4 of the cake. Organize strawberries in rows to create the red stripes.
Please keep it in a cool place like the fridge until you serve it. If you leave it outside, it will become a melted mess.
This is a great cake for a 4th of July party or Memorial Day BBQ. Or you can mix up the fruit if you don’t want the flag cake. This is one of 3 desserts you can be proud of on any occasion.
