A fall staple in our home is going to a pumpkin patch. For us, that means attending the Pumpkin Patch at Schnepf Farms. If you’ve never been to a one, you should check it out to see what all the fuss is about. Your family will appreciate Schnepf Farms’ annual Pumpkin and Chili Party while having fun on vintage amusement rides that have the classic feeling of an old-fashioned theme park, consisting of many rides, including a roller rollercoaster. It’s a great place for families to develop long-lasting memories with each other. Here are reasons to go to a pumpkin patch!
The first reason to go is the pumpkins! When deciding to pick pumpkins, it’s nice to go to a pumpkin patch instead of a store. If you choose to go that route, you’ll have more options, and the experience is a fun one for the whole family. You get to stroll down rows and rows of pumpkins of different sizes and shapes until you find the perfect one(s). And when it comes to pumpkin carving, you’ll want an ideal size to sculpt.
The Corn Maze is another excellent reason to go to a pumpkin patch. They’re a great experience to go with a group of buddies or family. Of course, you’ll have to work together to find your way out. Schnepf farms have a 4 and 10-acre corn maze that’ll keep you and your family busy for a while. If your pumpkin patch doesn’t have a corn maze, don’t worry, there are plenty of farms you can check out that do! Just google corn maze near me!
The third on the list is riding! Typically, a pumpkin patch will have at least one ride, hayrides. Okay, so a hayride in itself isn’t always the most exciting and does have a tendency to be crowded, but it’s an excellent treat for the whole family, especially if you have little ones under the age of 5. In addition, it’s a fun option. If you bring a date or a team of friends or family, it can become your favorite memory.
Schnepf farm hosts a ton of great rides for the kids. They can look forward to the super slide, carousel, swinging lady bugz, the train ride, forest zip lines. As well as the tractor play yard, Lil farmers play yard, jumping pillows, kiddie Ferris wheel, flying farmer ride, honey bee adventure, hyperloop, and a roller coaster. Along with the rides, they have giant yard games, mini-golf, and corn hole games.
The petting zoo is always a fun attraction if you like farms animals; this one is for you! The goats are always my kids’ favorite. However, they have many other animals to check out, and they even have pig races! Even if you choose not to touch them, you can check them out and take some pics with them. They also have deer feeding, which is always a favorite. Farm animals alone are great reasons to go to a pumpkin patch!
One of the best reasons to attend a pumpkin patch is food! You’ll have the opportunity to munch on some great finger foods like Funnel Cakes, Pies, Kettle Corn, French Fries, Roasted Nuts, and more while you walk around or wait in line for rides. At Schnepf’s, If you prefer to sit, they have picnic areas with tables all around while you listen to music and people watch. They also have great options for food.
